#66 Electrical Power Sub-Station, 4 1/4 x 8 1/4 footprint. While designed primarily as an interurban power sub-station, it is by no means restricted to that use. (Prototype was Pacific Electric’s Bellflower California, sub-station) This is a typical old cement column reinforced brick structure.
Very similar buildings have been observed serving as small town electric light companies, or even as generating plants. In the latter case it was in a mountain town where waterpower was fed thru large pipes from an upstream dam. Other uses could be a factory or warehouse.
This kit features mat board sides with arched window openings, embossed doors, cooling tower, insulators, and material for interior detailing. This will make a very satisfying model.
