The Santa Clara River Valley Railroad Historical Society (SCRVRHS), in cooperation with the Fillmore & Western Railroad (F&W) is presenting "Railfest 2006." The theme of this years Railfest is "Railroad History Rolling By."
SCRVRHS has expanded the former "Fillmore Railfest" to include the cities of Piru and Santa Paula making it a regional event. The Railfest will have railroad arts & crafts, speeder rides, Mini-Steamers rides, live entertainment, food, gun fights and fun. The center of activities will be held at Central Park in Fillmore with other activities planned in Piru and Santa Paula. F&W will be providing "all day" train service between Fillmore, Santa Paula and Piru during the Railfest. "All Day" tickets can be purchased at Piru, Fillmore, and Santa Paula For $20. The first trains to Piru and Santa Paula depart Fillmore each day at 10:00 am.
This will be Women in Railroading's sixth year at the festival. We will have several railroading items available for purchase. Choose from over 150 book titles, collectibles, Rosie the Riveter, toys, apparel and other novelty items. Please stop by and say Hi.
