For anyone in California who wasn't already aware, march 14&15 is the annual Golden Empire Historical and Modeling Society's train show at the Kern county fairgrounds in Bakersfield. This is always one of the best shows on the west coast, lots of vendors and layouts.

Post show remarks.. The Golden Empire Historical and Modeling Society did a great job with this show. Lots of tables and things for sale. We stopped on the way back from Winter rail 2009 and had a great time.
